Team Relay Gala 18th May 2024
Adwick ASC will be holding our 6th Team Relay gala on Saturday 18th May at Adwick with a 2 pm warm up.
If your swimmer has never done one of these before, well, it’s a fun afternoon of fast swimming with swimmers from across all of Adwick’s squads coming together to swim as a team in a series of fun relay races.
Everyone who enters is put into one of 6 different coloured teams – mixed age, mixed sex, mixed ability – and points are awarded to each team depending on their finishing position. The team with the most points at the end will be declared the winners.
This truly is a TEAM effort and this gala is open to EVERYONE who swims at Adwick, whether you are in A Squad or 30 minute Teaching and everyone in between! Remember, each team is chosen at random so you won’t necessarily be wearing the same coloured hat that you have previously! Every team has a team captain and is overseen by one of the Adwick coaches. If your child can swim a length, they can do this gala.
Entries for this gala cost £3 per swimmer and entries must be made via the desk in the Club Room – no online entries for this one. Entries close at 3.30 pm on Saturday 4th May. All money raised goes towards club funds.
Team allocations will be announced prior to the gala so all your swimmer needs to do on the day is turn up, find their colour team and swim their socks off.
We hope you will join us at our 6th running of this very popular – and very noisy – event! It is such good fun and raises money towards keeping our training fees the lowest in Doncaster.
