Adwick ASC Christmas Closures

As we near the Christmas period, the Coaches. Committee, Poolside Staff and swimmers are going to take a well earned break – they have certainly deserved it after all that 2021 has thrown at us!
Last sessions for 2021 are as follows:
Friday 17th December 2021: Last session for 30 minutes teaching, C Squad and Dolphins
Thursday 23rd December 2021: Last session for A and B Squads.
Adwick ASC will reopen on Thursday 6th January 2022 for A and B Squad and on Friday 7th January 2022 for 30 minutes teaching, C Squad and Dolphins.
Ho! Ho! Ho! 🎅

It’s almost time for the near-legendary Adwick ASC Christmas Raffle! 

Look out for the tickets coming home with your swimmer. £1 per strip with all proceeds going towards club funds. We’ve some fab prizes this year so please support us. 

Please make sure all monies are in the Club Room by 7.30 pm on 16th December as the raffle will be drawn at 8 pm sharp! If you have any donations, can we have them into the Club Room by the 13th December or give them to any member of the Adwick Team.

SwimMark success for Adwick

More success for Adwick
Formerly called swim21, SwimMark accreditation is Swim England’s quality standard for clubs. It recognises high standards of governance, sustainability and effectiveness. It takes a lot of work behind the scenes to gain this accreditation and there is a lot of information to submit.
We are delighted to announce that Adwick ASC has been awarded the SwimMark Essential accreditation for the next two years. Swim England praised us for all our efforts: “The Leadership Group recognised the hard work of all concerned in achieving Swim England’s quality mark for clubs”.
We would like to acknowledge the work of everyone who helped get all this information together to submit to Swim England and the club would also like to thank our SwimMark Co-ordinator, Cheryl Pinder, for all her hard work in putting it all together and going above and beyond to make our club the success that it is.
Well done Cheryl and congratulations to all at Adwick ASC!

Badge Night

Our next Badge Night takes place on Friday 26th November.

Badges on offer are: 

50 metres                 100 metres
200 metres               400 metres
800 metres               1000 metres
1500 metres             2000 metres
3000 metres             4000 metres
And the ‘Big One’: 5000 metres (that’s 200 lengths!)
Each badge costs £3. Enter now via the desk in the Club Room. Last date for entries will be Friday 19th November 2021 @ 8.00 pm.

Updated Session Times

We are amending a couple of our session times, effective from Friday 1st October.
Please note the new times for 30 minutes teaching, C Squad and Dolphins on a Friday and for A Squad on a Monday. All other sessions are unaffected.
Friday Sessions:
30 minutes teaching: 6.30pm – 7pm
C Squad: 7.00pm – 8.00pm
Dolphins: 8.00pm – 9.00pm
Monday Session:
A Squad: 6.30pm – 8.30 pm

Adwick ASC Home Championships

We are now taking entries for the best swimming gala on the planet – the Adwick ASC Home Championships! These take place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th November 2021. 

Further information can be found on our FB group or on the notice board. Club members have also been emailed with all the details. Entries close on 30th October 2021 at 3.30pm so if you want them to swim – get them in! 🙂

Reminder – all kit orders need to be in by Saturday 25th September at 3.30 pm please. 

This order should be here in time for our November Home Championships. A perfect excuse to wear your new kit on poolside.

This is the last chance to order until 2022 so if you need something, get your order in now. Kit items also make fantastic Christmas presents 🙂
